Moody tips Lancaster for England job

Former England captain Lewis Moody has backed Stuart Lancaster to become the next full-time England coach.

Lancaster was placed in temporary charge last December after Martin Johnson's resignation in the wake of England's disastrous World Cup.

He led the side to victories over Scotland and Italy in his first two games before losing 19-12 to Grand Slam hopefuls at Twickenham last time out.The RFU have confirmed they intend to interview Lancaster about the role before the end of the Six Nations tournament.Moody - who was forced to retire from the game this week with a shoulder injury - believes Lancaster has already done enough to be awarded the full-time position.

"I think Stuart has done an exceptional job. I pray that it will be Stuart Lancaster who gets the [England] job," he told the BBC."He's got a great coaching team around him in Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree."They have given young players the opportunity in big games. They can only improve from now." - http://www.setanta.com/
