THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – After announcing that Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand “will be dealt with” due to his refusal to wear a shirt from the “Kick It Out” anti-racism campaign, manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that he has fixed the situation with the player.

Ferdinand, whose brother Anton from Queens Park Rangers suffered racial abuse from John Terry as he played past through rival Chelsea in a Premier League game last season, supported Reading’s Jason Roberts in protesting against the campaign due to lack of developments in eradicating racism from football.

Saying that the matter was a “communication problem” with Ferdinand, Ferguson confirmed that the dispute has been resolved. He noted that he became angry because he wanted his club policy to support Kick It Out to unite everyone on his side, and that the defender’s decision not to wear the t-shirt went against such purpose.
