THE LATEST UEFA ENGLISH PREMIER
LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea ex-manager Ruud Gullit advised his former club that they
must get Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao in January to replace their senior
striker Fernando Torres for them to have stronger title-winning chances.
Critical of Torres’ lacklustre
finishing and disappointing goals-to-game ratio, Gullit said that Chelsea needs
a more prolific striker like Falcao in order for them to emerge as Premier
League and Champions League winners this season.
The ex-Chelsea boss noted that
Torres failed to replicate his success in previous clubs Atletico Madrid and
Liverpool, citing his inability to lead the London club to win w1th ease over
opponents through fine finishes.
