Former England skipper Lewis Moody has admitted that he should have been stricter on his squad during the World Cup in New Zealand.
A number of off-field incidents took precedent over England's performances in the tournament, with a night out in Queensland making the front pages after the side celebrated their first win of the competition against Argentina.
Moody, who has since retired from international rugby after England were knocked out in the quarter-finals by rivals France, has revealed that he had concerns regarding the attitude of the squad from the moment they arrived Down Under.
The Bath flanker wrote in his book Mad Dog: An Englishman: "I had been growing concerned about the attitude in the camp, which had become apparent pretty much from the moment we arrived in Auckland.
"We were on the other side of the world, a lot of the guys were young, well-known, wealthy and believed they were invincible I remember thinking that some were not quite in the right mind-set.
"If I could change one thing, knowing some of the characters we had in that squad, it would be to have banned them from going out at all." - http://www.setanta.com
