Ireland's team injury

Tommy Bowe, Paul O'Connell and Gordan D'Arcy all missed the 62-12 win over Russia after picking up knocks against the Australians, while Rob Kearney, Keith Earls and Sean O'Brien were found to have slight issues in the wake of Sunday's victory in Rotorua, but the Ireland team management had a positive update on the sextet following Tuesday's training session.
While Kearney (bruised knee), Earls (bruised leg) and O’Brien (bruised arm) all sat out the session, it was only as a precaution and the trio are expected to return to training on Wednesday with a view to being available for selection for the Italian match.
D'Arcy took full part in Tuesday's run out at the Carisbrook Stadium in Dunedin and suffered no reaction, while Bowe (calf) and O'Connell (hamstring) both came through some light exercise.
It is hoped the pair will be able to step up their training levels on Wednesday.- http://www.setanta.com
