New Zealand Rugby Union would boycott the 2015 competition?

New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive Steve Tew is hopeful of resolving the issues that threaten to deny the All Blacks the chance to defend their Rugby World Cup crown in 2015.

Tew has previously warned that the All Blacks would not travel to England for the 2015 tournament unless something is done to rectify the situation that has seen leading nations losing millions.
Under International Rugby Board regulations regular Test schedules, including the Tri-Nations series and November internationals, have to be curtailed during a World Cup year, while there is a blanket ban on teams from promoting their individual sponsors and Tew has suggested that such a stance has resulted in rugby unions losing millions in lost revenue.
Despite intimating that New Zealand would boycott the 2015 competition, Tew is hopeful a resolution can be met because the All Blacks are desperate to defend their World Cup crown in four years time.
"We're going to be defending champions aren't we, so we'll be there," Tew told TV ONE's Close Up.
"We're working with the IRB, obviously we've made it quite clear we've got some issues around the distribution, but we're hopeful that will be sorted, hopefully halfway through next year." - http://www.setanta.com
